Wellness Centre

Her Royal Highness has spearheaded efforts to promote the importance of Obuntubulamu positive cultural values in improving mental health and well-being through self-awareness, empathy, and integrity. NNWF aligns with this vision, aiming to advance this work to support women, youth, and children. Mental health is a critical focus due to its significant impact on overall well-being, particularly in Uganda, where access to mental health services remains limited.

Ugandan Mental Health Statistics

Recent studies highlight the prevalence of mental health challenges in Uganda, with approximately 22.9% of children and 24.2% of adults suffering from mental illness. Depression, anxiety disorders, and elevated stress levels are common, often leading to suicide attempts. Despite this, Uganda allocates just 1% of its healthcare budget to mental health services, highlighting the urgent need for increased support and awareness in this area. NNWF wants to partner with Ugandans to bridge this gap. Here are ways you can partner with us to increase mental health care access in Uganda and improve the quality of life for people living in Uganda.

NNWF intends to build a wellness center dedicated to nurturing individuals on their journey towards holistic well-being in Namayumba. This tranquil oasis shall provide a sanctuary where individuals can find respite from the challenges of life and embark on a transformative path towards inner peace, balance and fulfilment.

Help make this dream a reality.
